Trade to Teach Internship Program
We are excited to announce that the Department of Education will again partner with the 淘片资源网 to deliver the Trade to Teach program in 2026.
Who can apply for Trade to Teach?
You can apply for the Trade to Teach program if you have:
- a trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) and at least three years industry experience, post apprenticeship (e.g. Fitting and Turning/Machining, Metals Engineering, Carpentry, Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanics or related areas); or
- a trade qualification achieved through apprenticeship (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher) and at least three years industry experience, post-apprenticeship; or
- a related qualification (e.g. Cert III Hospitality or higher, Cert III Apparel, Fashion and Textiles or higher) and at least three years industry experience, post-qualification.
What does the Trade to Teach Program involve?
This supported four-year pathway helps skilled and industry-experienced tradespeople and chefs transition to a rewarding career in teaching. The program offers successful participants a $20,000 scholarship, a paid internship teaching position while studying, and a guaranteed permanent teaching position upon completion.
