ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Community Award

In 2025, ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø will offer four ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Community Awards to support students continuing their studies in an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate coursework program in recognition of their involvement in the ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community.

This award recognises the recipients' involvement in the ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community in activities such as student representation, mentoring programs, support groups for academic performance, social and sporting activities.

Each award will have a maximum value of $2000 to be paid in one instalment. 

Applicants must:

  • be a  currently residing in Australia, or an international on-campus student
  • be their studies at ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø in an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate coursework program in ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Period 2 2025 (e.g., Trimester 2 2025)
  • have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.0 as at the release of results for ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Period 3 2024
  • be involved in ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community activities
  • not be a previous recipient of this award.

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):         
    • how do you enrich the ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community through your participation in ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community activities
    • what have you personally gained through your participation.                                    
  • upload a document listing the ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community activities you have been/are involved in, your position/level of involvement, and dates of this involvement.  These activities could include, but not limited to, the following:
    • Student Representative on a ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Academic or Governance Committee
    • Member of the Student Representative Committee
    • Member of the Student Senate

    • Student Representative on the ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Student Guild Board

    • Student Ambassador

    • Orientation Buddies (orientation leaders)

    • Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) or Peer Learning Mentor (Previously PASS)

    • Residential College representative (e.g., Student Club Officer, ResPALS leaders)

    • ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø Student Club Member

    • Unisport Nationals and Residential Shield.

  • provide evidence to confirm your ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø community activity involvement.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other ÌÔÆ¬×ÊÔ´Íø awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
